I am so happy you stopped by! I specialize in photographing weddings and engagements, as well as families, maternities, boudoir, and individual portraits. I have a passion for capturing natural and candid moments in a thoughtful and artistic way. I strive for the photos to be as unique as the people and stories I’m capturing. I believe that every person deserves a beautiful photography experience that captures their best qualities and produces special images that can be cherished for a lifetime.

I travel all over Southern California to photograph my clients and love the beautiful weather here in CA. My studio/home is located in the Belmont Heights area of Long Beach.  When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy an active healthy lifestyle by the beach, making home-cooked meals and finding new places to explore.  I like to keep life interesting by meeting new people, learning new things and exploring new places, and my photography lets me relish in these experiences even more.

The Janice Owen Photography Mission: 

I have had a lifelong relationship with photography and we deeply appreciate the artistic side of it.  I strive for our photos to be as unique as the people and stories we're capturing. My photography style is fun, romantic, candid and bursting with colors.  Every photoshoot (families, weddings, engagements...etc) is special, spontaneous, and most of all, memorable. 

The sentimental value of photographs:

• After the money spent on wedding planning, decorations, flowers ...etc and the wedding day is over... what we truly have to show are the memories on still photographs. We believe that's why it's extremely important to have great photographers who are able to make the wedding details lives on forever in these amazing images.

I believe that photography is an art of observation, a powerful medium of expression and communication -  what is caught on camera is yours to cherish forever.
