Shoreline Village Long Beach / Engagement Photographer / Bambi + Jonathan

     David and I have known Bambi and Jonathan for quite some times, and we were thrilled to hear that they were finally engaged! These two are always fun to be around with, sweet as it can be, and successful in their own terms. Here's their love story in their own words. 

1) Briefly, how did you two meet? ---> Jonathan first met Bambi through mutual friends. At the time we were attending rivaling high schools. She needed a date for homecoming and our mutual friend tried to match us up. We first got to know each other over the phone. Then we finally met in person at her house. Ironically there was a house wedding going on for their family friend. It was kind of a shock for me. Jonathan had no idea that was going on that day. Honestly he thought it was kind of awkward. They stood side by side near the alter together as the couple got married in their backyard! Jonathan was like "what did I get myself into?" I just met this girl. The next week we had a double date with our mutual friends and went to the movies. I kissed her for the first time that day in that same backyard because that's how I roll son!

2) Bambi & Jonathan: What are your favorite hobbies? ---> We like to spend time together being active like going to the gym, hiking, biking, taking mini road trips. We like playing basketball together, Jonathan always wins. We like to try different foods and restaurants around the area. We like spending our days off together being lazy as well, cooking dishes for each other, watching movies, Netflix and chill.

3) What characteristics do you like about one another? ----> Bambi is the perfect combination of sexy and cute ;) She has the biggest heart out of anyone I know.  She has this thing about her were she can get along with just about anyone she meets and befriend them. She is simple, intuitive, determined, very thoughtful and caring towards others. She knows me like the back of her hand. She is my balance. I am a better person because of her. 

4) How do you envision for your future together as soon to be married couple? ---> I envision a future full of love, laughter, working together and supporting each other always, through the good and bad. I feel together we can overcome anything. Power couple son! We'd raise kids, hopefully own a home of our own one day, travel the world together, get the most out of life the best we can until the day we die.

Shoreline Village Long Beach / Engagement Photographer / Monique + Joey

     In a few short weeks, Monique and Joey will be tying the knot. We are very excited for their Big Day and got to captured their beautiful engagement session at the Shoreline Village of Long Beach. Here's more to their love story: Monique and Joey went to the same high school, and had several mutual friends but never really knew each other back then. Thanks to good old social media, Facebook to be exact, the two reconnected. It was Joey's persistence over the course of about a year that they finally went on their first date. You could say the two met "again" when Joey picked up Monique for that date. 

     Joey likes collecting and reading comics. He also enjoys de-stressing on the treadmill while watching old episodes of How I Met Your Mother, the Office and Big Bang Theory, Recently Joey is gaining mad handyman skills around the house (that's right, says Monique haha). Monique is into do it yourself projects, cooking (and eating lol) and home decor.  Joey and Monique recently started swing dancing lessons and hope to spruce up those skills soon! The two enjoy anything that is fun, really. 

     In their own words about what characteristics do you like about one another? Monique loves that Joey is open minded and is up for trying/doing anything. Joey will go to a country concert, 80s bar, sit-down dinner, backyard boogie, wine tasting, or just chill. He rarely says no unless he is exhausted from teaching, coaching and mentoring high-schoolers all day. Joey is also very patient when Monique acts like a WWE Diva hahaha! Monique says that Joey has the kindest soul of anyone she knows.

     Joey loves that Monique makes him feel that he's #1 to her.  She will go above and beyond to make him feel loved and cared for. From making him daily meal preps, giving good bye kisses every morning, and sending him on surprise scavenger hunts for his birthday!  Joey also loves Monique's passion for life and having fun in it.  She always keep him on his toes and tries to make the best out of everyday they spend together.  After their 1st date Joey new that he was going to marry Monique for the simple reason that she could drink whiskey, eat french fries and Country line dance with him!

     Monique and Joey envision for their future together as a married couple to be loving one. They both envision their future "living." Meaning doing any and all things that are adventurous, relaxing and different. Their future is about growing young and old together in all aspects of life.  They hope to start a family soon! (Joey's hope is identical twin boys! Just like him). From the start, Joey has done everything to win Monique's heart, 4 day weekends, hot air balloon rides, surprise dates & surprise flowers at work, packages in the mail. Joey is overjoyed that he's marrying the woman of his dreams. And Monique is beyond happy that she have found Mr. Right.

Point Vicente Lighthouse Rancho Palos Verdes / Engagement Photographer / Leslie + Javier

        In a short few days, Leslie and Javier will tied the knot. We are very excited for their Big Day and got to captured their beautiful engagement session at the Point Vicente Lighthouse. Here's more to their love story: Leslie and Javier met on Match.com Leslie had been online dating for about a year. Her pond was full of frogs and she was about to cancel her membership...then she stumbled upon Javier's profile. Javier had been on Match for just 2 weeks before he got a wink from Leslie. Yes, she made the first move which lead them to messaging a few days before exchanging numbers. Our first phone conversation lasted 4 hours! It was an instant connection. They spoke daily for hours at a time plus text messaging throughout the day. Two weeks later they went on our first date, which was the perfect first date. And Leslie and Javier been inseparable ever since! Javier proposed 8 months later at a Raider game! It was a whirlwind romance, they are getting married on April Fools’ Day, so they like to joke and say the theme of their wedding is “Fools Rush In”.

        Leslie & Javier are both huge Oakland Raider and Dodger fans, so they enjoy watching football and baseball games together. They even got engaged at a Raider game last October! Go Raiders! Both of them are into Crossfit, they workout together 5 times a week at their Crossfit gym. And they enjoy cooking together and for each other. 

        In their own words, this is what Leslie and Javier said about each other regarding about what characteristics do you like about each other. Javier: "She‘s the most intelligent person I know. She doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. Always up for anything and never scared to try new things. She’s the CEO, CFO, & COO of our relationship. This will sound very cheesy but she makes me want to be a better person. My performance at work has improved, I started Crossfit which I was always scared of but she made me feel safe. I guess what I am trying to say is I’m not scared of failing or of the unknown because I know she has my back."

        Leslie: "Javier has the biggest heart, he’s a gentleman and chivalrous (he opened the door for me on our first date and does so even today), he has a great sense of humor and makes me laugh every day, even when I’m having a bad day. He’s caring, thoughtful and a great communicator, we spend hours on the phone talking to each other every day. I love coming home to him every day after work. I’m so blessed to be marrying my best friend!"

        Leslie and Javier envision for their future only getting better together as a married couple. They will always date each other so they never lose the fire in our relationship. And they are planning on having a family of their own soon. Leslie and Javier is also looking forward to their romantic honeymoon in the city of love - Paris!
