David and I always wanted beautiful outdoor photography for our wedding portraits, however, on our actual wedding day last year on December 12th, 2014, the daylight was limited so we didn't get many family portraits outdoors. So we decided to take advantage of the nice sunny Southern California weather to re-create our wedding photoshoot with both our families in late August 2015. The Cerritos Heritage Park was a perfect spot for great photos. Our families both got dressed up and they were all excited for the re-shoot. Everyone had a great time, and afterwards we caught up over dinner. It was an awesome experience to share with our families once again. Here are some photos from the re-shoot by the amazingly talented Hitch Photo. Thank you so much! We are all very pleased with the outcome. Beautiful photographs that will last a lifetime. Please Enjoy!

Throughout the whole week leading up to our wedding date of 12/12/14, it was nice and sunny forecast. Until our actual wedding came, then the rain came down pouring in the early morning. In some cultures, rain on your wedding day symbolizes fertility, cleansing, good luck and signifies your marriage will last (they say when you tie the knot, the knot is a lot harder to untie when it is wet!). The most miraculous thing about our rainy wedding day was during our First Look and bridal party photoshoot session; the rain stopped and everything had dried up! The beautiful sun came out and gave us all incredible weather for lovely photos.
Here are some First Look and Wedding Party photos from our wedding day on Friday 12/12/14. Pictures were taken at Long Beach's Shoreline Village by Carissa Woo Photography. Carissa and I became really great friends and she has been a great mentor in helping me get into the wedding photography business, which has allowed me to establish Janice Owen Photography. I'm very grateful to be doing what I love now. YAY!

After our Wedding Party Photos, it started to rain again. So our wedding ceremony was held indoors at the beautiful Paracel Restaurant in Westminster. When all the guests arrived, they were excited for all the fun that was about to happen... Some highlights include everything from our Wedding Ceremony, a one-of-a-kind fun NBA themed wedding party entrance, a 4-min choreographed First Dance, a surprising and spectacular Lion Dance performance that wowed the guests, and a highly anticipated performance by my husband David rapping with his good friend K-Dubb (Kevin Williams) called "Time 2 Roll" - Enjoy!

Last but not least, I got to wear my wedding dress for the 4th time and it was during our vacation this past September 2015 on a Carnival Cruise. We were able to capture the beautiful sunset on the cruise deck, and David took pictures of me at the pretty Alice and Wonderland theatre. Check it out! :)
