I've captured many weddings before but this one has to be one of the most memorable. I had the pleasure to assist my good friend and mentor Carissa Woo Photography for one of her wedding events. The twist of this creative event was the invitation stated to guests that this was an Engagement Party for Regina and Daniel, but it was actually their wedding! And none of the guests, bridal party or even their parents knew about it!! Regina and Daniel had their first look photograph before the guests arrived. Being a creative and sneaky couple, Daniel and Regina came up with a brilliant idea to shock their families and friends. After the shoot, they showed their engagement video to guests during the reception, and at the end of the video they surprisingly announced, "Welcome to our wedding, guys!" Everyone's reaction was either tears of joy, shocked faces or speechlessness.

Guests soon found themselves exiting the closed doors to a full wedding ceremony in the back of the venue. Overall, the entire surprise wedding was a success! All their families and friends had an amazing time and more importantly, a unique wedding event to tell others about. Big congratulations to the gorgeous and happy couple... Regina and Daniel!
